ELECTRIC VINES & VALLEY WINES 2009

25 buses. 3 private venues. Live Bands. DJs.

An exclusive day of outstanding local beer, wine, food and music!
No queues... No drink tokens... No overcrowding... No overpriced food and drink... No venues at capacity before 11am... Forget about Spring in the Valley!

The sun was shining at 9am as 25 buses were sent to various locations around Perth to pick up an eager crowd of guests.  They started the day in the huge beer gardens at Duckstein Brewery and Elmar's in the Valley.  With litre beer steins or bottles of wine, they enjoyed the morning sunshine with music from perfect acoustic covers performed by Will Udall and Ben Merito.  Indie-folk band Rachel & Henry Climb a Hill rocked out to an endearing audience at Duckstein and to pick up the tempo before everyone jumped back on the buses, DJ Charlie Bucket threw down some funky beats for the crowd.

In the early afternoon, groups from both venues jumped back on the buses and drove down through the beautiful Swan Valley to the huge grassed area by the lake at the picturesque Oakover Winery.  There was plenty to choose from with a choice of James Squire draughts beers, Cider, or of course any of Oakover's fantastic wines.  Included in the ticket price was a huge BBQ, with chickenburgers, gourmet hamburgers, sausages and fresh salads being served all day.

As soon as all 1,200 people had descended on the grass of Oakover Winery, the party was well and truly underway!  Live band 'Bumpy Johnson' and DJ Charlie Bucket had the party tunes at full volume!

2010 will see Electric Vines & Valley Wines return to the Swan Valley, get in early because interest will be high after the huge success of the inaugural event in 2009!
